Trenchly is a paper trading simulator, so it needs very little from you. This page lists what it does collect, what other people can see, and what it never asks for.

The short version

  • An account is a username plus one way to sign in: an email address, a Solana wallet address, or a Google, Discord or X account. Paper trading needs nothing else.
  • We never collect wallet keys, payment details or real funds.
  • One essential sign-in cookie. No advertising or analytics trackers.
  • Your username and paper trades are public by design. Your email address never is.

A summary, not a substitute. The sections below are what applies.

1. Who this covers

This policy explains how Trenchly (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on trenchly.gg. It applies to visitors and to people with an account. The Terms of Service cover the rules for using the service.

2. What we collect

  • Account details. The username you choose and how you sign in. With an email code, that is your email address. With a Solana wallet, it is the wallet's public address and nothing else: we never see its keys or balance and never ask it to approve a transaction. If you sign in with Google, Discord or X, we also receive from that provider your account identifier, name, email address and profile picture, and the tokens it issues to confirm the sign-in.
  • Sign-in sessions. When you sign in we create a session and record the IP address and browser user agent it came from. One-time sign-in codes are stored until they are used or expire, ten minutes after they are sent.
  • What you do in the simulator. Your paper runs, quotes you requested, paper trades, positions, results, the accounts you follow, the coins on your watchlist and any leaderboard status applied to your account.
  • Your profile photo, if you add one. We keep the small square picture you upload (cropped and resized in your browser first). We never use the picture from a Google, Discord or X account.
  • Technical data. Our servers process your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages, apply rate limits and keep the service secure, and may keep them in short-term logs.

What we don't collect. We don't collect wallet private keys or seed phrases, payment or bank details, government ID, or your precise location. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

3. What is public

Trenchly is built around records anyone can check, so some of what you do is public as soon as you do it:

  • your username and profile page, including when you joined and your profile photo if you add one;
  • your paper trades, receipts, share pages and run history, including losses;
  • who you follow and who follows you;
  • your leaderboard results.

Your email address, IP address and sign-in details are never public. Because your username appears next to your trades, choose one that doesn't identify you if you want to stay anonymous.

4. How we use it

  • to create your account, send sign-in codes and keep you signed in;
  • to run the simulator: price fills, keep your ledger, and build profiles, receipts and rankings;
  • to protect the service: rate limiting, spotting abuse, and reviewing results that look manipulated;
  • to contact you about your account or important changes to the service.

5. Cookies and browser storage

We set one essential cookie, which keeps you signed in. It expires after 14 days without use. If you sign in with Google, Discord or X, short-lived cookies are also used to complete that sign-in safely. We set no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Interface preferences such as reduced motion, and a few “already seen” markers, are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them. Your watchlist is kept there too; while you are signed in it is also saved with your account, so it follows you between browsers. It is private: only you can see it.

6. Who we share it with

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the services needed to run Trenchly:

  • Hosting. Our servers and database are provided by Hetzner.
  • Email delivery. Resend delivers sign-in codes, so it receives your email address and the message.
  • Sign-in providers. Google, Discord or X, only if you choose to sign in with them.

Market data and quotes are requested by our servers from third-party providers, including Jupiter, CoinGecko, DexScreener and pump.fun. Those requests don't include your identity. Token images, however, are loaded by your browser directly from the hosts that publish them, so those hosts see your IP address the way any website you visit does. Links that leave Trenchly take you to sites with their own policies.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the service and the people using it.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account details: for as long as you have an account.
  • Sessions: until you sign out, or 14 days after you last used the site.
  • Sign-in codes: ten minutes.
  • Paper trades and results: indefinitely, as part of the public record.

Deleting your account. You can ask us to delete your account. We will remove your email address, sign-in details, sessions, watchlist and profile photo, and release or anonymise your username. Paper trades are hash-chained to one another, so removing them would break the record for everyone; they are kept without your identity attached.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and may need to confirm that the request really comes from you.

9. Where it is stored, and security

Our servers are in the United States. If you use Trenchly from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed there.

Connections to Trenchly are encrypted, there are no passwords to steal because sign-in is by one-time code or a provider you trust, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed.

10. Children

Trenchly is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect, and we will say so on the site if the change is significant.
