Terms of Service

Last updated Privacy Policy →

These are the rules for using Trenchly. We have tried to keep them short and readable.

The short version

  • Trenchly is a simulator. Paper SOL has no value and can't be withdrawn, sold or redeemed.
  • Nothing is ever signed or sent on chain, and we never ask for a wallet, a deposit or a seed phrase to paper trade.
  • Fills are estimates built from live quotes. They are not a promise of what a real trade would get.
  • Your username, paper trades and rankings are public, and recorded trades can't be edited.
  • Nothing on Trenchly is financial advice.

A summary, not a substitute. The sections below are what applies.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Trenchly (“we”, “us”) for your use of trenchly.gg and everything on it (the “service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we handle and why. It is part of how the service works, so read it alongside these terms.

2. What Trenchly is, and isn't

Trenchly is a paper trading simulator for Solana tokens. It lets you practise against live market conditions without money.

  • Paper balances are not money. Paper SOL and paper token balances are numbers in our database. They have no monetary value and can't be withdrawn, transferred, sold, or redeemed for anything.
  • Nothing happens on chain. No paper trade is ever signed, sent or broadcast to a blockchain. Paper trading never needs a wallet, a deposit or a payment, and we will never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
  • We are not a financial service. We are not a broker, exchange, custodian, wallet provider or investment adviser, and we don't execute, route or settle real trades for anyone.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for making sure that using the service is lawful where you live.

4. Your account

  • Sign in with an email address you control, and keep access to it, and to any sign-in method you link, secure.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One account per person. Don't run several accounts to gain an edge on the leaderboards.
  • Usernames are public. Don't pick one that impersonates someone else, is hateful or obscene, or is meant to mislead. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks this rule.

5. Simulated trading

Each paper fill is priced from a live swap quote requested from a third-party router at the moment you confirm, for the exact size you entered. Network, priority and account-rent costs are modelled. How it works describes the method and the current figures.

A simulated fill is an estimate. A real trade for the same size at the same moment could fill at a different price or not at all, because of latency, competing transactions, failed transactions, changing liquidity and costs we don't model. Results in the simulator say nothing certain about how you would do with real funds.

Resetting a run closes every open position at a fresh exit quote, or writes it off at zero if there is no route, and starts a new run. Earlier runs and their results stay on your record.

6. Records, rankings and integrity

Confirmed paper trades are recorded permanently. Each one is hashed and linked to the trade before it so that changes can be detected, and you can't edit or delete them.

Leaderboards follow the published rules in how ranking works. Those rules are versioned and may change. We may review, flag, exclude or disqualify results that we reasonably believe came from bad data, a technical fault, an exploit or a breach of these terms.

Ranks, badges and paper results carry no prize and no monetary value. If we ever run a competition with rewards, it will have its own written rules, and those rules will apply to it.

7. What is public

Your username, profile, paper trades, receipts, share pages, follows and leaderboard results are public. Anyone can view them, link to them and share them, including people without an account. Your email address is never shown.

You give us permission to store, display and distribute that public information as part of the service, including in share images and link previews. Don't put personal information in your username.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • exploit bugs, bad quotes or data errors to inflate results, or coordinate accounts to manipulate rankings;
  • automate requests in a way that gets around rate limits or puts unreasonable load on the service;
  • probe, attack or interfere with the service, its infrastructure or other people's accounts;
  • scrape the service to build a competing product or to resell its data;
  • impersonate Trenchly, its team or another person;
  • upload a profile photo that is sexual, violent, hateful, unlawful, or someone else's picture without their permission;
  • present paper results as real trading profits in order to mislead others;
  • use the service for anything unlawful.

We may remove a profile photo or username that breaks these rules.

If you find a security problem, tell us before telling anyone else.

9. Coins on Trenchly, and $TRLY

The tokens you see are real third-party assets pulled in automatically from market data. A token appearing on Trenchly is not an endorsement, a review or a recommendation, and we don't vet the projects behind them. Memecoins are extremely volatile, many go to zero, and some are scams.

$TRLY is not live. As of the date at the top of this page there is no $TRLY token, contract address or sale. Any token using that name or ticker today is not ours. If that changes, the details will be published on this site first, any purchase would happen on third-party platforms under their own terms and with real funds at your own risk, and holding it will not be required to paper trade.

Nothing on the service is an offer or a solicitation to buy or sell any asset.

10. Not financial advice

The service is for practice and education. Nothing on it, including prices, rankings, other traders' results and our own copy, is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Decisions you make with real money are yours alone.

11. Third-party data and links

Market data and quotes come from third parties, including Jupiter, CoinGecko, DexScreener and pump.fun. Trenchly is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. That data can be delayed, incomplete, wrong or unavailable, and we don't guarantee it. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

12. Our content and yours

The Trenchly name, logo, design and software belong to us. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you are welcome to share the receipts and share cards of your own paper trades anywhere. Everything else needs our permission.

13. Changes and availability

We may change, pause or remove any part of the service, and it may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or because a data provider is down. We don't promise that the service will always be available or free of errors.

14. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what is kept.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account, or remove it from rankings, if we reasonably believe it has broken these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

15. No warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the service or its data is accurate, reliable, fit for a particular purpose or uninterrupted.

16. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. We are not liable for any loss you suffer trading real assets, including decisions informed by what you saw or did in the simulator.

Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us to use it in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars. The service is currently free.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we will say so on the site. If you keep using the service after an update, you accept the updated terms.
